A 12-year-old pre-menarcheal girl presented with a solitary breast mass and bloody nipple discharge. Ultrasonography showed an unusual mass with complex characteristics, composed of a frondular structure within a 2.3 x 1.5-cm cyst. Histologic diagnosis of the excised structure was an infarcted fibroadenoma. This case describes the clinical presentation and unique sonographic appearance of a rare, spontaneous infarction of a fibroadenoma in an adolescent girl.

American culture encourages overconsumption, fueled by ubiquitous availability and pervasive marketing of ultra-processed foods and other addictive substances. This chronic overindulgence has contributed to rising rates of obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D), substance abuse, mental health disorders and premature mortality. Glucose-like peptide-1 agonists (GLP-1RAs) affect the brain's reward pathway that mediates addiction to foods and various other substances.

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) represents a quite rare event but with potentially serious prognostic implications. Meanwhile, SCAD typically presents as an acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Despite the majority of SCAD presentation being characterized by typical ACS signs and symptoms, young age at presentation with an atypical atherosclerotic risk factor profile is responsible for late medical contact and misdiagnosis.

Background: In patients with diabetes and multivessel coronary artery disease, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been associated with higher long-term cardiovascular mortality compared to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), but the specific causes of death are not well known. We aimed to determine the causes of death among patients with diabetes and multivessel disease undergoing coronary revascularization with PCI versus CABG.
Methods: We analyzed the centrally adjudicated causes of death of 1,900 participants in the FREEDOM trial.
