The fabrication of liquid crystalline (LC) organogel via supramolecular interactions between Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and lyotropic cationic surfactant containing cyanobiphenyl moiety is reported. The fabricated organogel endows dominantly viscous behavior in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and elastic behavior in n-propanol (n-PrOH), respectively. By judiciously controlling the viscosity, DMSO organogels can be drawn to form a fiber with an elongation of up to 4.

Adhesions are fibrous scar-like tissues which can form between adjacent tissues in the body in response to injury, inflammation, or during normal healing following surgery.

The development of advanced starch-based materials is hindered by limited understanding of structure-dependent phenolic acid (PA) binding mechanisms. This study employed a multi-technique approach (Fourier-transform infrared, x-ray diffraction, rheology, molecular docking) to investigate 16 PAs with varying hydroxylation patterns and methoxy substitutions. Three distinct binding modes were identified: (1) Polyhydroxylated acids (e.

Achieving high bioavailability of dendrobine (DDB) necessitates the development of simplified available and efficient delivery systems. Pickering emulsions (PEs) derived from biomass represent a promising option. However, the physicochemical properties of PEs interfacial films were insufficient to prevent DDB leakage, thereby reducing bioavailability.

The behavior of silver nitrate in non-aqueous liquid oligomeric media-aromatic and aliphatic diglycidyl ethers and aliphatic diamine-has been investigated. By employing UV-visible spectrophotometry and dynamic light scattering, it has been shown that in diglycidyl oligomers, regardless of the nature of the monomeric unit, the formation of silver nanoparticles occurs, and the kinetics of this process has been studied. At the same time, in the medium of aliphatic diamine, the reduction of silver ions is absent, indicating the formation of a complex compound.
