Optimizing the longevity of vascular access in hemodialysis patients remains a critical aspect of patient care, given the significant role of arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) and arteriovenous grafts (AVGs) in enabling effective dialysis. Vascular access complications, such as stenosis, thrombosis, and cannulation-related damage, continue to challenge both the functionality and the sustainability of these access points. Recent advancements underscore the importance of a robust follow-up strategy, integrating clinical evaluations with diagnostic tools like color Doppler ultrasound (CDU) and emerging interventional approaches such as drug-coated balloon (DCB) angioplasty.

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is one rare type of thyroid carcinoma without standard systemic treatment for advanced disease. Recent evidence has demonstrated promising efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors, particularly those targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1)/programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), in a variety of solid tumors. However, there have been no research of immune checkpoint inhibitors plus chemotherapy in ATC.

Background: Oxygen therapy is critical and vital treatment for hypoxemia and respiratory distress, however, access to reliable oxygen systems remains limited in SSA. Despite WHO initiatives that distributed over 30,000 OC oxygen concentrators worldwide, SSA faces significant challenges related to their maintenance and use, due to harsh environmental conditions, technical skill shortages and inadequate infrastructure. This review aims to systematically identify and assess the literature on OC design adaptations, maintenance challenges, and knowledge gaps in SSA, providing actionable recommendations to inform innovative and context-sensitive solutions to improve healthcare delivery in the region.

Background: Preventure is a selective school-based personality-targeted program that has shown long-term benefits in preventing student alcohol use, internalising and externalising problems when delivered by psychologists. Objective: To analyze the impact of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) maintenance therapy following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph + ALL) on recurrence rates and prognosis for the 2 transcripts, p190 and p210.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical data from 58 patients diagnosed with Ph + ALL who underwent HSCT. All patients received TKI maintenance therapy following hematopoietic reconstruction post-transplantation.
