The tracking/monitoring system helps protect physicians and their patients from problems with abuse and diversion. The understanding that pharmacists are utilizing their skills everyday in reviewing a patient's pharmaceutical history and aiding the patient will no doubt encourage increased interaction among the healthcare fields and increase the quality of treatment for the patient.
