Objective: To observe the correlation between serum level of TXB2, 6-Keto-PGF1alpha and liver metastasis.
Methods: The metastatic model was made by injection of W256 carcinosarcoma. Rats were randomly divided into two groups: rats with blood stasis group and control group. Rats in control group were given normal saline via abdominal cavity once a day. Rats in blood stasis group were injected adrenalin in the fourteenth day. Tumor size and liver metastasis were observed. Serum TXB2 and 6-Keto-PGF1alpha were tested by radioimmunoassay.
Results: Tumor size in rats with blood stasis was significantly smaller than that of the control group (P<0.01). Occurrence of liver metastasis in rats with blood stasis was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.01). The values of 6-Keto-PGF1alpha, TXB2, and TXB2/6-Keto-PGF1alpha were higher in the group with blood stasis.
Conclusion: In the status of blood stasis, W256 carcinosarcoma grows slowly, and liver metastasis increases insignificantly, with the elevations of 6-Keto-PGF1alpha, TXB2 and TXB2/6-Keto-PGF1alpha.

Background: The restoration of cerebrovascular regulation and improvement of cerebral blood flow in ischaemic regions are crucial for improving the clinical prognosis after stroke. An-Gong-Niu-Huang-Wan (AGNHW) is a famous traditional compound Chinese medicine that has been used for over 220 years to treat acute ischaemic stroke; however, its role in the regulation of cerebral blood flow is still unclear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the regulatory effect of AGNHW on cerebral blood flow and microcirculation after ischaemic stroke and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms involved.

Background: Existing treatments for primary dysmenorrhoea (PD), such as NSAIDs, impart side effects. decoction (GGD), a traditional Chinese medicine, has shown promise in treating PD, but its exact mechanisms remain unclear. Here, we aimed to investigate the efficiency of GGD in alleviating PD using a rat model to understand its precise mechanism of action.

The approach combining disease, syndrome, and symptom was employed to investigate the characteristic changes of blood stasis syndrome in a rat model of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head(SONFH) during disease onset and progression. Seventy-two male SD rats were randomized into a healthy control group and a model group. The rat model of SONFH was established by injection of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) in the tail vein at a dose of 20 μg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) on days 1 and 2 and gluteal intramuscular injection of methylprednisolone sodium succinate(MPS) at a dose of 40 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) on days 3-5, while the healthy control group received an equal volume of saline.
