Based on the principle of multi-grade utilization of resources to get ecological, economic and social benefits of ecological engineering, this paper designed an added loop, following the Spartina alterniflora Ecological Engineering (SAEE). All the added loop design included SAEE, and the capsule was named SAEEC. In the added loop design, the Biological Mineral Liquid (BML) was made into antihyperlipidemia capsules, of which, the total flavonoids added up to 9.58 mg x g(-1). Emergy analysis method was applied to evaluate the SAEEC project. Compared with SAEE, the added loop design increased emergy investment ratio (EIR) by 1.37 fold, net economic benefit of the SAEEC by 2.13 fold, economic yield/input ratio by 1.46 fold, net emergy yield (NEY) by 3.18 fold, and net emergy yield ratio (EYR) by 2.20 fold, showing its more efficiency.

There are several pharmacologic agents that have been touted as guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). However, it is important to recognize that older adults with HFpEF also contend with an increased risk for adverse effects from medications due to age-related changes in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications, as well as the concurrence of geriatric conditions such as polypharmacy and frailty. With this review, we discuss the underlying evidence for the benefits of various treatments in HFpEF and incorporate key considerations for older adults, a subpopulation that may be at higher risk for adverse drug events.

Intravenous fluid is administered during high-risk surgery to optimize stroke volume (SV). To assess ongoing need for fluids, the hemodynamic response to a fluid bolus is evaluated using a fluid challenge technique. The Acumen Assisted Fluid Management (AFM) system is a decision support tool designed to ease the application of fluid challenges and thus improve fluid administration during high-risk surgery.

This paper focuses on the issue of global practical tracking control by output feedback for uncertain nonlinear systems with unknown control coefficients and unknown reference signal. Unlike other tracking works, the upper and lower bounds of the unknown control coefficients in the studied nonlinear system are not required to be known, while the nonlinearities are bounded by the unmeasured states multiplying an unknown constant, the polynomial-of-output and the polynomial-of-input. Inspired by related works, an adaptive tracking controller based on a new dynamic high gain has been successfully constructed by combining the universal control idea and the concept of dead-zone with backstepping technique, which effectively handles the impacts of multiple uncertainties.

Janus kinases (JAKs) are a family of intracellular tyrosine kinases that play a crucial role in signal transduction pathways. JAK2 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of leukemia, making it a promising target for research aimed at reducing the risk of this disease. This study examined the potential of mimosamycin as a JAK2 inhibitor using both in vitro and in silico approaches.

Jasmonate (JA), a key plant hormone, regulates various aspects of plant development and stress responses, primarily through the degradation of canonical jasmonate-ZIM domain (JAZ) proteins by the SCF complex. While JAZ8, a non-canonical JAZ protein lacking the degron signal, has been shown to repress JA responses, the mechanism by which JA inhibits JAZ8 activity remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that Arabidopsis ethylene response factor 114 (ERF114), ERF115, and ERF109 regulate JA signaling through interacting with JAZ8.
