The examination of 70 postmyocardial infarction females on aftertreatment in the sanatorium demonstrated that marked cardiohemodynamic shifts correlating in severity with those of the patient's condition persisted in the early post-hospital period. Most of the patients had hypokinetic circulation, those of gravity class III delayed in forming compensatory and adaptive mechanisms of the cardiovascular system under growing muscular load. The greatest role in forming physical adaptation is attributed to peripheral hemodynamics.

Introduction: It is well known that mitral stenosis (MS) is complicated by pulmonary hypertension (PH) of varying degrees. The hemodynamic derangement is associated with structural changes in the pulmonary vessels and parenchyma and also functional derangements. This article analyzes the pulmonary function derangements in 25 patients with isolated/predominant mitral stenosis of varying severity.

Aim: To study the effects of newly developed antiatherogenic vegetarian diet enriched with soya bean products on clinico-hemodynamic characteristics of elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).

Materials And Methods: Clinico-hemodynamic parameters, lipid blood spectrum and plasmic hemostasis were studied in 28 elderly CHD patients divided into groups by dyslipidemia type (IIA, IIB, IV).

Results: The antiatherogenic vegetarian diet promoted normalization of central hemodynamics, lowering of blood atherogenic lipids, positive changes in blood rheology.

A comparative evaluation of 53 liquidators of the Chernobyl NPP accident and 49 subjects who were not exposed to ionizing radiation, patients with stage II hypertensive disease (HD), revealed clinical features of the disease course, apparent changes in the psychological profile and vegetative supply of the reactions of the cardiovascular system in the former category of the patients. Based on the reactions to the functional tests and urinary excretion of catecholamines, low threshold was shown of resistance to psychoemotional stress in the liquidators, as was usefulness of changes in alpha- and beta-adrenoblockers.

Lipid peroxidation, antioxidant defense and microrheological properties of blood were determined, correlated and compared with clinico-hemodynamic indices in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD). It is shown that products of lipid peroxidation modify structure and function of red cells and platelets in IHD. A regulatory role of the antioxidant system in metabolism of lipoperoxides and peroxide damage to blood cells in IHD is shown.

Ceruloplasmin- and placebo-treated CHD patients were studied for severity of angina pectoris, changes in central hemodynamics, exercise tolerance. It is shown that ceruloplasmin promoted an increase in exercise tolerance, higher quality of life, arrest of the disease progress. Combined treatment of CHD incorporating ceruloplasmin produced a positive effect on central hemodynamics and contractile, pump capacities of the myocardium.
