This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative and quantitative approach, whose aim is to identify Nursing diagnosis in elderly people suffering from mental disorders. Forty-eight elders of the mental open clinic were interviewed, by means of an instrument on quality of life, translated and validated. Data collected helped to identify sixteen Nursing diagnoses, based in North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). The most common ones were those related to difficulties in daily activities in an individual going through the aging process, such as: dysfunctional sorrow feeling, lack of recreational activity (83.%); impaired walking (81.2%), risk of trauma (68.7%), and anxiety (62.5%).

Introduction: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer in men worldwide, with significant incidence and mortality, particularly in Mexico, where diagnosis at advanced stages is common. Early detection through screening methods such as digital rectal examination and prostate-specific antigen testing is essential to improve outcomes. Background: Physical activity (PA) interventions have been shown to yield positive effects on cognitive functions. However, it is unclear which type of PA intervention is the most effective in children and adolescents with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDDs). This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of different types of PA interventions on cognitive functions in children and adolescents with NDDs, with additional analyses examining intervention effects across specific NDD types including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Background: Choosing effective devices (inhaled corticosteroid [ICS]-long-acting β2 agonist [LABA] combination inhalers) as maintenance treatment is critical for managing patients with asthma. We aimed to compare ICS/LABA combination efficacy, safety, and adherence across inhaler types and components in patients newly diagnosed with asthma.
Methods: Utilizing South Korea's National Health Insurance Service data, we conducted a population-based cohort study involving patients aged 18-80 years, newly diagnosed with asthma who received ICS/LABA combination therapy between January 2016 and December 2020.

Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a prevalent complication among critically ill patients, constituting around 10% of intensive care unit (ICU) admissions and mortality rates ranging from 35 to 46%. Hence, early recognition and prediction of ARDS are crucial for the timely administration of targeted treatment. However, ARDS is frequently underdiagnosed or delayed, and its heterogeneity diminishes the clinical utility of ARDS biomarkers.
