Introduction: Surgical site infection (SSI) after lower extremity (LE) bypass surgery is associated with longer length of stay, higher hospital cost, increased morbidity, and even graft loss. Silver impregnated dressings have been used by other surgical subspecialties to decrease SSI with reported success. The National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) published a national expected rate of 7.

Background: The use of telemonitoring to manage renal function in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) is recommended by health authorities. However, despite these recommendations, the adoption of telemonitoring by both health care professionals and patients faces numerous challenges.
Objective: This study aims to identify barriers and facilitators in the implementation of a telemonitoring program for patients with CKD, as perceived by health care professionals and patients, and to explore factors associated with the adoption of the program.

Background: Early childhood is a critical period for shaping lifelong health behaviors, making early childhood education and care (ECEC) environments ideal for implementing nutrition and physical activity interventions. eHealth tools are increasingly utilized in ECEC settings due to their accessibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, demonstrating promise in enhancing educators' practices. Despite the potential effectiveness of these eHealth approaches, a comprehensive collection of available evidence on eHealth tools designed to assess or support best practices for nutrition or physical activity in ECECs is currently lacking.

Reconstructive optoelectronic spectroscopy has generated substantial interest in the miniaturization of traditional spectroscopic tools, such as spectrometers. However, most state-of-the-art demonstrations face fundamental limits of rank deficiency in the photoresponse matrix. In this work, we demonstrate a miniaturized spectral sensing system using an electrically tunable compact optoelectronic interface, which generates distinguishable photoresponses from various input spectra, enabling accurate spectral identification with a device footprint of 5 micrometers by 5 micrometers.

Background: Orthopaedic devices represent a large amount of the overall cost incurred in the operating room. It is unknown if employed sports medicine surgeons are aware of the true prices of these devices. The purpose of this study was to assess sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons' knowledge of implant and device costs, as well of commonly used items in their operating rooms.
