Diabetic wound healing remains a major challenge in modern medicine. The persistent inflammation and immune dysfunction hinder angiogenesis by producing excessive ROS and increasing the susceptibility to bacterial infection. In this study, we developed an integrated strategy for whole-process management of diabetic wounds based on a bioinspired adhesive hydrogel platform with hemostasis, photothermal antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and angiogenic properties.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease which afflicts about nearly 1% of global population. RA results in synovitis and cartilage/bone damage, even disability which aggravates the health burden. Many drugs are used to relieve RA, such as glucocorticoids (GCs), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in the clinical treatment.

Osseointegration is a crucial property of biomaterials used for bone defect repair. While titanium is the gold standard in craniofacial surgeries, various polymeric biomaterials are being explored as alternatives. However, polymeric materials can be bioinert, hindering integration with surrounding tissues.

Objectives: The aim of this non-interventional, multi-center, prospective, practice-based study was, firstly, to evaluate the longevity of composite build-ups in endodontically treated teeth, treated with root canal therapy (ETT), without post placement and secondly, to identify and analyze factors influencing the success of these reconstructions.
Methods: Each of seven general dental practitioners placed up to 50 composite build-ups without additional posts in ETT. Teeth were restricted to incisors, canines and premolars.

Angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive malignant tumor arising from vascular or lymphatic endothelial cells. Angiosarcoma at an arteriovenous fistula site is exceptionally rare. We report a case of a 37-year-old male renal transplant recipient who developed a high-grade epithelioid angiosarcoma at the site of an arteriovenous fistula six years post-transplant.
