Stress reactions in the bones of the lower extremities are a common finding on magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. The primary finding in the bone marrow is nonspecific edema without any visible fracture line that may even mimic tumor or infection. Continuing stress may eventually lead to a stress fracture. We present the case of a stress reaction related to breakdancing in a less typical localization, in the triquetral bone in the wrist.

This study examines the behavior of the Casson nanofluid bioconvection flow around a spinning disc under various influences, including gyrotactic microorganisms, multiple slips, and thermal radiation. Notably, it accounts for the reversible nature of the flow and incorporates the esterification process. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of reversible chemical reactions on the flow behavior of a Casson nanofluid in the presence of bioconvective microorganisms over a spinning disc.

Subchondral insufficiency fractures of the knee (SIFK) are a relatively common cause of knee pain, particularly in middle-aged and older adults. The SIFK is a type of stress fracture that occurs when excessive and repetitive or supraphysiologic loads are applied to subchondral bone [1]. Historically, this type of fracture was termed spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee (SONK) until advances in MRI identified underlying fractures as well as meniscal deficiency as likely attributable etiologies.

Hydraulic fracturing, which forms complex fracture networks, is a common technique for efficiently exploiting low-permeability conglomerate reservoirs. However, the presence of gravel makes conglomerate highly heterogeneous, endowing the deformation, failure, and internal micro-scale fracture expansion mechanisms with uniqueness. The mechanism of fracture expansion when encountering gravel in conglomerate reservoirs remains unclear, challenging the design and effective implementation of hydraulic fracturing.

Background: Many techniques have been described for lateral ankle ligament reconstruction. Although the biomechanical properties of gracilis tendons are different from those of ligaments, the use of a gracilis tendon autograft is a popular option for anatomical reconstruction. Graft maturation and the biomechanical processes over time remain unclear.

The healing of wounds in aging skin is a challenging issue that has not been thoroughly studied. Composite hydrogels made from natural polysaccharides have shown potential as dressings for various types of wounds. In this study, we prepared a polysaccharide-based composite hydrogel to provide a new strategy for treating aging skin wounds.
