Department of Neonatology, Neonatal Center, Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University, Key Laboratory of Major Diseases in Children, Beijing 100045, China.

To analyze the colonization rate and molecular types of (SA) on the tracheotomy wounds of neonates at early postoperative stage in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This was a case series study. Patients who were admitted and underwent tracheotomy in NICU of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 1 2020 to December 31 2023 were enrolled.

Objective: Recent guidelines suggest that non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS) should be offered to all patients with singleton and twin pregnancies. Accurate determination of fetal fraction in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is vital for reliable NIPS outcomes. We propose a methylation-based approach using droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) and methylation-sensitive restriction enzyme (MSRE) digestion for fetal fraction quantification as an affordable and fast solution.

Aim: To investigate predictive value of the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) combined with the distal ureteral diameter ratio (UDR) for early breakthrough urinary tract infection (BT-UTI) in children with primary vesicoureteral reflux (VUR).

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 150 VUR patients admitted to ShangHai Children's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023. Patients were divided into the early BT-UTI group (n = 52) and the non-earlyBT-UTI group (n = 98) based on whether early BT-UTI occurred.

Objective: No clinical standard exists for intraoperative fetal cardiac monitoring during maternal-fetal surgery for fetal myelomeningocele (fMMC). This pilot study explores the feasibility of using speckle tracking echocardiography (STE)-derived functional measurements to characterize cardiac performance throughout fetoscopic fMMC and compares these measures with other common intraoperative cardiac function parameters.

Methods: Continuous fetal echocardiography was performed during fetoscopic fMMC repair with fetal heart rate assessment every 2 minutes and a 4-chamber cine clip and mitral and tricuspid Doppler inflow patterns captured every 5 minutes.

Participation of Children With Developmental Coordination Disorder: A Scoping Review.

Child Care Health Dev

March 2025

Graduate Program in Physical Therapy, Departament of Physical Therapy, Universidade Federal de São Carlos, São Carlos, Brazil.

Background: Children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD) may have participation restrictions; however, there is little information about the specific characteristics of the participation of children with this condition. Given the relevance of participation as an outcome of physiotherapeutic interventions, the objective of this study was to provide a broad review of studies on participation in children with DCD.

Methods: We mapped the literature using a scoping review, through the MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL and Web of Science databases to identify studies on participation in children with DCD published between 2001 and 2021.
