We investigated whether cluster formation by noninvasive cells can be explained by a global attractive potential. Indices quantifying the persistence of migration in experimental conditions were compared to the same indexes computed from simulations with a density-based cellular automaton. The results indicate that the attractive potential hypothesis must be rejected.

This paper proposes a registration approach rooted in point cloud clustering and segmentation, named Clustering and Segmentation Normal Distribution Transform (CSNDT), with the aim of improving the scope and efficiency of point cloud registration. Traditional Normal Distribution Transform (NDT) algorithms face challenges during their initialization phase, leading to the loss of local feature information and erroneous mapping. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a method of adaptive cell partitioning.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a severe brain disease that permanently destroys brain cells, impacting vision, balance, muscle control, and daily activity. This research employs a weighted combination of deep neural networks and optimization techniques for MS disease diagnosis. This method uses slices of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images as input.

Spectral flow cytometry provides greater insights into cellular heterogeneity by simultaneous measurement of up to 50 markers. However, analyzing such high-dimensional (HD) data is complex through traditional manual gating strategy. To address this gap, we developed CAFE as an open-source Python-based web application with a graphical user interface.

The exceptional ability of liposomes to mimic a cellular lipid membrane makes them invaluable tools in biomembrane studies and bottom-up synthetic biology. Microfluidics provides a promising toolkit for creating giant liposomes in a controlled manner. Nevertheless, challenges associated with the microfluidic formation of double emulsions, as precursors to giant liposomes, limit the full exploration of this potential.
