The effect of combined use of mannitol and alpha-tocopherol on the course and outcome of acute myocardial infarction has been studied. The results have shown that these drugs have a marked clinical effect. The ECG findings show that in the majority of cases the drugs prevented further development of necrotic process and the onset of life-threatening complications and accelerated normalization of the ECG parameters. The determination of serum enzyme activity and lipid peroxidation indexes has revealed a more prompt normalization of the above parameters in patients of the test group than in the controls. The use of the drugs under study in the earliest period of the disease development promotes the efficacy of the therapy performed.

Unlabelled: Ischemic stroke ranks as the second leading cause of global mortality and disability. Although reperfusion is crucial for salvaging brain tissue, it carries the risk of secondary injuries, such as ferroptosis. Gastrodin, a neuroprotective compound found in Chinese herbal medicine, may regulate this process.

Salinity stress adversely affects wheat growth and productivity, necessitating effective mitigation strategies. This study investigates the combined impact of ascorbic acid (AsA), silver nanoparticles (NPs), and Salvadora oleoides aqueous leaf extract (LE) on wheat tolerance to salinity stress. A randomized complete design (RCD) was employed with fourteen treatments: T1 (5 mM AsA), T2 (10 mM AsA), T3 (20 ppm AgNPs), T4 (40 ppm AgNPs), T5 (5% S.
