Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a dreaded post-operative complication for surgeons and warrants prophylactic measures. The risk of DVT is significantly higher in almost any and all major surgery. Azithromycin (AZM) is used orally to treat pulmonary infections due to its ability to accumulate in lung tissues and immune cells after oral administration. Sulfated polysaccharides, such as heparin, are known to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 entry.

Unlabelled: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of γ,n-irradiation of the mouse head on the brain cells damage, behavior, and cognition and to examine the possibility of using lactoferrin (LF) to alleviate radiation-induced impairments.

Heparin is the most widely used anticoagulant in clinical practice, with enoxaparin being one of the most important low molecular weight heparins (LMWHs). In this study, an antithrombin III (ATIII) affinity column was used. Enoxaparin and its oligosaccharides of varying sizes, prepared using preparative size exclusion chromatography (SEC), were fractionated through the ATIII affinity column.

Organic precipitation of proteins with acetonitrile demonstrated complete protein recovery and improved chromatography of human plasma proteins. The separation of 25 μL of human plasma into 22 fractions on a QA SAX resin facilitated more effective protein discovery despite the limited sample size. Micro chromatography of plasma proteins over quaternary amine (QA) strong anion exchange (SAX) resins performed best, followed by diethylaminoethyl (DEAE), heparin (HEP), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and propyl sulfate (PS) resins.
