A 59-year old man, who had a hypertensive crisis during transsphenoidal surgery for a pituitary macroadenoma, was subsequently found to have an adrenal pheochromocytoma. A total of twenty-five cases describing the coexistence of a pituitary adenoma and pheochromocytoma have been reported in the literature over the past 40 years. Among pituitary tumors, acromegaly has been the most common. In an effort to identify the relationship between the two tumors, multiple theories have been suggested including fortuitous association, overlap or variants of MEN syndromes, and ectopic production of a trophic hormone by the pheochromocytoma. The high risk of mortality and morbidity associated with undiagnosed pheochromocytoma warrants careful attention to the possibility of such a coexistence.

The coexistence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and chronic pain (CP) in the elderly population has been extensively documented, and a growing body of evidence supports the potential interconnections between these two conditions. This comprehensive review explores the mechanisms by which CP may contribute to the development and progression of AD, with a particular focus on neuroinflammatory pathways and the role of microglia, as well as the activation of the NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome. The review proposes that prolonged pain processing in critical brain regions can dysregulate the activity of the NLRP3 inflammasome within microglia, leading to the overproduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines and excessive oxidative stress in these regions.

Background: The co-occurrence of Rathke cleft cysts (RCCs) and meningiomas in the sellar and parasellar regions represents an exceedingly rare clinical entity. Achieving maximal resection through a single operative approach while minimizing adverse events is challenging, often necessitating multiple surgical approaches, as suggested by previous reports.
Observations: The authors report the case of a 49-year-old female with a history of kidney transplant who presented with headaches and was diagnosed with coexisting RCC and meningioma in the sellar and planum sphenoidale regions, respectively.

This case report provides details of the first documented case of pituitary stalk interruption syndrome (PSIS) with coexistent focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) in a young boy. The child's initial presentation was an afebrile, generalised tonic-clonic seizure associated with postictal drowsiness. During his first episode, the physical examination revealed a short, obese child with a micropenis and left cryptorchidism.
