This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an automated tail movement sensor device (Moocall; Bluebell, Dublin, Ireland) to predict time of calving in dairy cows. At a commercial dairy farm in southern Ontario, Moocall (MC) devices were attached with the device's strap, and an additional elastic wrap, to the tail of cows approximately 3 d before their expected calving date. The MC has 2 types of alarm, a high activity alarm in the previous hour (1HA), and a high activity alarm in the previous 2 h (2HA); these alarms were sent and registered to the MC software.

Objective: To understand how congenital toxoplasmosis (CT) diagnosis has evolved over the years, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to summarize the kind of analysis that has been employed for CT diagnosis.
Methods: PubMed and Lilacs databases were used in order to access the kind of analysis that has been employed for CT diagnosis in several samples. Our search combined the following combining terms: "congenital toxoplasmosis" or "gestational toxoplasmosis" and "diagnosis" and "blood," "serum," "amniotic fluid," "placenta," or "colostrum.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for the screening of fetal chromosome aneuploidies in twin pregnancies.
Methods: A total of 2 745 women with twin-pregnancies were subjected for NIPT screening. Chromosomal karyotyping and chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) were carried out on amniotic fluid samples from those with a high risk for fetal chromosome aneuploidies, and the diagnosis and pregnancy outcome were followed up.
