Introduction: The aim of the study was to assess the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 in the Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, after five waves of COVID-19 and 1 year after introduction of vaccination to better understand the true extent of the COVID-19 pandemic in the population of the Republika Srpska and role of vaccination in achieving herd immunity.
Methods: The population-based study was conducted from December 2021 to February 2022 in a group of 4463 individuals in the Republika Srpska. Total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were determined in serum specimens using the Wantai total antibody ELISA assay.

Our hospital caters to a large migrant population, but data on these infections in Portugal is limited. In this paper, a novel age-structured epidemiological model that simultaneously considers multiple viral strains is proposed. We develop a numerical framework for the study of the dynamics and optimal control by a linearly implicit Euler method, in which the biological meaning is unconditionally preserved. The first order convergence of numerical solutions in a finite time is derived from a uniform numerical boundedness.

Background And Aims: Studies have shown correlations between early recurrence (ER) and late recurrence (LR) of atrial arrhythmia after ablation with thermal technologies. This admIRE trial (NCT05293639) subanalysis aims to analyze ER versus LR in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) undergoing pulsed field ablation (PFA).
Methods: Patients with symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and ≥1 transtelephonic monitoring transmission during the blanking period were included (n=169).

Dengue remains the most rapidly advancing vector-borne disease in the world, and while the disease burden is predominantly in low-to-middle-income countries, the association with poverty remains in question. Consequently, a study was undertaken to evaluate the prevalence of anti-dengue antibodies among individuals residing in the People's Housing Program (PPR), a government-sponsored low-cost housing initiative targeting low-income earners. This type of public housing often faces challenges, including substandard housing facilities.
