Iminophosphoranes with the general formula (RP═NR') have great potential in synthetic chemistry as valuable precursors/intermediates in organic synthesis or as building blocks for various organic compounds. However, the synthetic approaches and conditions to prepare iminophosphoranes are still poorly understood, limiting the utility of this chemistry for organic materials. In this article, a simple and efficient synthesis of previously unattainable poly(arylene iminophosphoranes) is reported.

: Cardiogenic shock (CS) remains a critical condition with high mortality rates despite advances in treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of urinary output at various time intervals during CS and its effectiveness as a predictor of 30-day mortality, particularly in comparison to the Simplified Acute Physiology Score 3 (SAPS 3). : We conducted a retrospective analysis of 96 patients diagnosed with CS, assessing urinary output at different intervals (0-6 h, 6-12 h, 12-24 h, and 0-24 h) as potential predictors of 30-day mortality.

Targeting epigenetics is a new strategy to treat cancer and develop novel epigenetic drugs with anti-tumor activity. DNA methyltransferases transfer the methyl group from -adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) to the cytosine residue in a CpG island, leading to the transcription silencing of the gene. Hypermethylation can frequently be observed in several tumor types.

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) initiation at a non-ECMO-capable facility by specialized mobile teams aims for a stabilization prior to center admission, internationally referred to as ECMO retrieval. It is a recommended strategy to avoid primary interhospital transfer of compromised patients with a high risk of life-threatening incidents and potentially death. Deploying the unique skill set of ECMO installation and transportation to an unfamiliar environment, however, adds a further degree of complexity to the demanding fields of both transporting the critically ill and ECMO management itself.

: The incorporation of radionuclides into peptides and larger biomolecules requires efficient and sometimes biorthogonal reaction conditions, to which click chemistry provides a convenient approach. : Traditionally, click-based radiolabeling techniques have focused on classical click chemistry, such as copper(I)-catalyzed alkyne-azide [3+2] cycloaddition (CuAAC), strain-promoted azide-alkyne [3+2] cycloaddition (SPAAC), traceless Staudinger ligation, and inverse electron demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA). : However, newly emerging click-based radiolabeling techniques, including tyrosine-click, sulfo-click, sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx), thiol-ene click, azo coupling, hydrazone formations, oxime formations, and RIKEN click offer valuable alternatives to classical click chemistry.
