Pseudoprogression in CAR-T cell therapy for solid tumor: Case report.

We reported the pseudoprogression in an elderly patient with advanced gastric cancer after chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy. The hepatic metastases enlarged 1 month after CAR-T cell infusion and then shrunk the next month as seen through computed tomography scanning. Based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes imaging, pathology, serum tumor markers, and clinical symptoms, we arrived at a diagnosis of pseudoprogression after CAR-T cell therapy, which has not been reported in previous studies.

Introduction: Severe or complicated atheromatosis of the aortic arch represents an important and often underdiagnosed embolic source in patients with ischemic stroke. The presence of a floating thrombus has significant clinical relevance, as it is associated with a high risk of early recurrence. The aim of this study was to analyze the potential of echocardiographic examination through the suprasternal window in both the detection of embolic sources and the monitoring of the response to anticoagulant treatment in patients with mobile thrombi.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumors (AOT), first described by Steensland in 1905, are benign, slowly enlarging, nonaggressive, odontogenic epithelial neoplasms comprising 3%-7% of all odontogenic tumors. They tend to originate from the dental lamina remnants or the reduced enamel epithelium. Mutation at codon 12 of KRAS oncogene (Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog) plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis.

Background: The relationship between preoperative bowel dysfunction and postoperative ileus has not been explored clinically. We hypothesized chronic partial obstruction, based on preoperative small bowel diameter, is associated with ileus after colon surgery.
Methods: This was a retrospective case-control study of patients undergoing right colectomy or ileocolic resection with primary anastomosis.
