A deeper understanding of imaging behavior is needed with the widespread adoption of optical proximity correction in advanced lithography processes. To gain insight into the printing behavior of different mask pattern configurations, we derive edge-based and vertex-based image models by combining concepts contained in the geometrical theory of diffraction and Hopkins's image model. The models are scalar models and apply to planar, perfectly conducting mask objects.

In multi-dimensional nanopositioning and nanomeasuring devices, interference measurement is widely used. The three-dimensional (3D) target mirror serves as the spatial reference plane to achieve multidimensional interference measurements. However, the surface shape errors of the target mirror are superimposed on the geometric dimensions of the measured workpiece, which limits the system's overall measurement accuracy.

The magnetic behavior of endohedrally transition-metal-doped tetrel clusters SnTM (TM = Cr, Mn, Fe) was investigated using a combined experimental and theoretical approach. Based on an improved experimental setup, the magnetic deflection was measured over a wide temperature range of = 16-240 K. From a Curie analysis of the experimentally observed single-sided shift at high nozzle temperatures, the spin multiplicities and -factors were determined.

Objective Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI) and other neuroimaging techniques are routinely used in medical diagnosis, cognitive neuroscience or recently in brain decoding. They produce three- or four-dimensional scans reflecting the geometry of brain tissue or activity, which is highly correlated temporally and spatially. While there exist numerous theoretically guided methods for analyzing correlations in one-dimensional data, they often cannot be readily generalized to the multidimensional geometrically embedded setting.

Organic room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) emitters with long lifetimes, high exciton utilizations, and tunable emission properties show promising applications in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and biomedical fields. Their excited-state properties are highly related to single molecular structure, aggregation morphology, and external stimulus (such as hydrostatic pressure effect). To gain a deeper understanding and effectively regulate the key factors of luminescent efficiency and lifetime for RTP emitters, we employ the thermal vibration correlation function (TVCF) theory coupled with quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) calculations to investigate the photophysical properties of three reported RTP crystals (Bp-OEt, Xan-OEt, and Xan-OMe) with elastic/plastic deformation.

Coupled cluster theory in the standard formulation is unable to correctly describe conical intersections among states of the same symmetry. This limitation has restricted the practical application of an otherwise highly accurate electronic structure model, particularly in nonadiabatic dynamics. Recently, the intersection problem among the excited states was fully characterized and resolved.
