Aim: To screen human augmentor of liver regeneration(hALR)-interacting proteins and to explore the mechanisms of hALR in liver regeneration.
Methods: The open reading frame of hALR was used to construct the "bait" plasmid and the genes encoding hALR-interacting proteins were screened from the human liver cDNA library that was pretransformed into yeast Y187 by yeast two-hybrid system. Bioinformatic analysis of the sequences of the positive clones were performed.
Results: The positive clones encoding metallothionein, albumin, selenoprotein P,Na/K-ATPase, and 2 unknown proteins were screened out.
Conclusion: The successful cloning of the genes encoding proteins interacting with hALR may pave the way for studying the interaction between the above proteins and hALR, and the molecular mechanisms of biological effect of hALR.

Introduction: Understanding the intricate anatomical morphology of fused-rooted mandibular second molars (MSMs) is essential for root canal treatment. The present study utilized a deep learning approach to identify the three-dimensional root canal morphology of MSMs from two-dimensional X-ray images.
Methods: A total of 271 fused-rooted MSMs were included in the study.

This review commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the discovery of physiological ligands Augα (Augmentor α; ALKAL2; Fam150b) and Augβ (Augmentor β; ALKAL1; Fam150a) for anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and leukocyte tyrosine kinase (LTK), previously considered orphan receptors. This manuscript provides an in-depth review of the biophysical and cellular properties of ALK family receptors and their roles in cancer, metabolism, pain, ophthalmology, pigmentation, central nervous system (CNS) function, and reproduction. ALK and LTK receptors are implicated in the development of numerous cancers, and targeted inhibition of their signaling pathways can offer therapeutic benefits.

Existing 3D human pose estimation methods often suffer inferior generalization performance to new datasets, largely due to the limited diversity of 2D-3D pose pairs in the training data. To address this problem, we present PoseAug, a novel auto-augmentation framework that learns to augment the available training poses towards greater diversity and thus enhances the generalization power of the trained 2D-to-3D pose estimator. Specifically, PoseAug introduces a novel pose augmentor that learns to adjust various geometry factors of a pose through differentiable operations.

Diabetes, the cause of colossal economic and disease burden, is a key area of research in drug discovery programs. Elevated blood glucose levels in diabetes lead to several adverse consequences due to the formation of advanced glycation end products and free radicals. Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant, protects the body's cells and tissues from oxidative damage and dysfunctions.
