Isotretinoin can have significant adverse reactions on multiple systems. We report a unique case of pseudotumour cerebri and herpes encephalitis resulting due to isotretinoin. A 19-year-old female patient was admitted to our clinic, presenting with headache, nausea, vomiting and fever since three days.

A 77-year-old woman born in the Dominican Republic presented with fullness of the glabella and medial eyebrows for 1 year followed by alopecia of the lateral eyebrows and frontal hairline. She stated that although she had a high hairline at baseline, it had receded in the past year. She had also noted central scalp hair thinning that started 6 years earlier.

Background: Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) is a rare acquired haematopoietic stem cell disorder characterised by persistent haemolysis and platelet activation, severe end-organ damage, an increased risk of thrombosis and early mortality. We present the case of a 56-year-old male with long-standing PNH and significant disease-related morbidity who underwent steroid therapy for approximately 15 yrs before treatment with eculizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that blocks the terminal phase of the complement cascade at the C5 level.

Case History: The patient presented with a severely impaired quality of life in 1997 and was diagnosed with PNH 8 months later, soon after which he was commenced on steroid therapy with prednisone.

Introduction: The safety of octreotide use, in its short-acting preparation, in pregnancy is still unclear. This report provides the first documentation of uneventful octreotide LAR use during three pregnancies in a woman with bronchial carcinoid-associated adrenocorticotropic hormone-dependent Cushing's syndrome.

Case Presentation: A 25-year-old Arabic woman presented to our emergency department with rapid onset of headache, flaring acne and hirsutism, facial puffiness, weight gain and paroxysmal myopathy, and paranoiac thoughts of rape and sexual intimidation.
