The initial investigations concerning the influence of variable magnetic fields (MF) on transfer and oxygen consumption in isolated human cotyledon in vitro were performed. Ten dual closed perfusion of the human cotyledon were conducted in each group. The control group was not exposed to magnetic fields. In studied groups cotyledons were exposed to magnetic field: in the group B1 (B = 2 mT, f = 50 Hz), and in the group B2 (B = 5 mT, f = 50 Hz) for 180 min. Obtained results may suggest that variable magnetic field (B = 5 mT, f = 50 Hz) cause decrease of oxygen consumption in human placenta in 120 and 150 min of experiment.

Background: The deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap is universally considered the gold standard technique for breast reconstruction (BR), though it cannot always be proposed to patients with insufficient donor-site volume. We explore the efficacy of autologous fat transfer (AFT) of the Holm abdomen zone IV in the retropectoral plane during DIEP flap reconstruction (lipo-DIEP flap), to enhance the volume provided by the abdominal donor site in patients with low body mass index (BMI).
Methods: We prospectively enrolled patients with BMI less than 25 kg/m and candidates for lipo-DIEP flap BR (group A) comparing them with a control group (group B) undergoing traditional DIEP flap BR with the same characteristics of the first group (BMI < 25 kg/m).

Background: Informational integration and differentiation of the cortex can be tested by methods such as the perturbational complexity index (PCI) combined with TMS-induced activity perturbation. The PCI is obtained by stimulating the cortex with TMS and measuring the resulting spatiotemporal cortical responses with high-density EEG.
Methods: We have compared PCI between 26 patients with schizophrenia (15 males), 15 of them First Episode (FE) (7 males), and 22 healthy controls (12 males).
