Background: Quantifying plant transpiration via thermal imaging is desirable for applications in agriculture, plant breeding, and plant science. However, thermal imaging under natural non-steady state conditions is currently limited by the difficulty of quantifying thermal properties of leaves, especially specific heat capacity (C). Once an exotic add-on to fluorescence microscopy for life science research, fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIm) has become a powerful and increasingly utilised technique owing to its self-calibration nature, which affords superior quantification over conventional steady-state fluorescence imaging. This review focuses on the state-of-the-art implementation of FLIm related to the formulation, release, dosage, and mechanism of action of drugs aimed for innovative diagnostics and therapy. Quantitative measurements using FLIm have appeared instrumental for encapsulated drug delivery design, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, pathological investigations, early disease diagnosis, and evaluation of therapeutic efficacy.

Background: Hemodynamic force (HDF) from cardiac MRI can indicate subclinical myocardial dysfunction, and help identify early cardiac changes in patients with Fabry disease (FD). The hemodynamic change in FD patients remains unclear.
Purpose: To explore HDF changes in FD and the potential of HDF measurements as diagnostic markers indicating early cardiac changes in FD.
Background And Objective: Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a vascular disease that may affect the retina. This study aimed to evaluate differences in average velocity (AV, mm/s), blood flow (BF, μL/min) and vessel diameter (VD, μm) from the temporal retinal arcades in SCD compared to healthy eyes using Doppler optical coherence tomography (DOCT).
Patients And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between 2021 and 2023.
