The base-catalyzed reaction of nitric oxide with the Cu(II) complex Cu(DAC)2+ (DAC = 1,8-bis(9-anthracyl-methyl)-(1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane)) leads to reduction of the metal center and the unexpected intramolecular nitrosylation of a secondary amine.

The study investigated the degradation of 3-methoxy-1-propanol (3M1P) by OH using the M06-2X/6-311++G(d, p) level, with CCSD(T) single-point corrections. We focused on hydrogen atom abstraction from various alkyl groups within the molecule. The rate coefficient for 3M1P degradation was calculated from the sum of the rate coefficients corresponding to the removal of H-atoms from primary (-CH), secondary (-CH-), tertiary (-CH< ), and alcohol (-ΟH) groups.

Context: Nitrocellulose, widely used in energetic materials, is prone to thermal and chemical degradation, compromising safety and performance. Stabilizers are molecules used in the composition of nitrocellulose-based propellants to inhibit the autocatalytic degradation process that produces nitrous gases and free nitric acids. Curcumin, (1E,6E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione, known for its antioxidant properties and a potential green stabilizer, was investigated using Density Functional Theory (DFT) focusing on its interaction with nitrogen dioxide.

Purification and Value-Added Conversion of NO under Ambient Conditions with Photo-/Electrocatalysis Technology.

Research Center for Carbon-Neutral Environmental & Energy Technology, Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu 611731, China.

As primary air pollutants from fossil fuel combustion, the excess emission of nitric oxides (NO) results in a series of atmospheric environmental issues. Although the selective catalytic reduction technology has been confirmed to be effective for NO removal, green purification and value-added conversion of NO under ambient conditions are still facing great challenges, especially for nitrogen resource recovery. To address that, photo-/electrocatalysis technology offers sustainable routes for efficient NO purification and upcycling under ambient temperature and pressure, which has received considerable attention from scientific communities.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate and compare the histological response of rabbit dental pulp after direct pulp capping with 3 different materials: mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), nanoparticles of fluorapatite (Nano-FA), and nanoparticles of hydroxyapatite (Nano-HA) after 4 and 6-week time intervals.

Material And Methods: A total of 72 upper and lower incisor teeth from 18 rabbits were randomly categorized into 3 groups)24 incisors from six rabbits each. MTA Group: teeth were capped with MTA.

The current study had aimed to assess the long-term dietary supplementation with Melaleucae aetheroleum, tea tree essential oil (TTO). The impact on growth performance, biochemical indices, immune function, oxidant/antioxidant activity, gene expression, histopathology, and resistance against Aeromonas sobria in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) was investigated. Four groups (with five replicates; G1 (control group, G2, G3, and G4) of Nile tilapia received diets enriched with TTO (doses of 0.
