In the past, the life-span of B cells in rodents has been determined by a variety of methods, leading to conflicting results. Among the various techniques employed, labeling of dividing cells with the thymidine analog 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) has turned out to be a versatile and reliable procedure. Labeling of the cells can be easily performed in vivo by feeding BrdU in the drinking water for extended periods of time or by an ip injection of BrdU for short-term labeling experiments. Using the protocol described, it is possible to combine flow cytometric detection of incorporated BrdU simultaneously with fluorescence staining of various cell surface markers.

Purpose: The childhood hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) sequelae cohort study (HNHFMDCS) is an ambispective cohort study of patients with HFMD based in Henan Province, China, consisting of patients treated in a key hospital for the diagnosis and treatment of HFMD in Henan Province. The study aims to investigate the long-term sequelae of HFMD survivors and to provide a comprehensive understanding of the potential harm caused by this infectious disease.
Participants: In the retrospective phase of the cohort study, children diagnosed with HFMD from January 2014 to January 2023 were included, and clinical and demographic information about the patients was collected through a self-developed questionnaire.

The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of IL-17, Bcl-3 and IκBζ gene expression in the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) of psoriatic and healthy individuals and to compare the clinical periodontal parameters in the patient and control groups. A total of 10 psoriasis patients and 2 healthy patients in the control group were included in the analysis for IL-17, Bcl-3, and IκBζ gene expression in the GCF.
