There are seven published cases in world literature on cartilage in the walls of odontogenic keratocysts. Herein is presented one further case with keratin inclusions in the cystic wall, which also bears a cartilaginous component. X-rays, clinical images and pathohistological images are included.

Nano/micro hybrid scaffolds in long-term healing tissue engineering can simultaneously offer both mechanical and biological properties. In this study, a hybrid scaffold was fabricated through electrospinning of polycaprolactone (PCL)-chitosan (Cs)/ multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) based nanofibers onto a chemically functionalized knitted silk substrate (F-Silk) and the scaffold were evaluated with regard to morphology, chemical and crystalline structure, hydrophilicity, mechanical properties, bioactivity, biodegradability, and cellular behavior. Chemical functionalization of silk using N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) and 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC) resulted in greater integrity in the formation of nanofibers onto the microfibers.

A 1-year-old male neutered ferret (Mustela putorius furo) was evaluated for an abnormal left cubital joint. Radiographs demonstrated a proliferative osseous lesion of the left proximal antebrachium. Computed tomography confirmed a large thin-walled expansile osseous lesion of the left proximal radius and identified multifocal proliferative lesions of the axial spine, two of which caused spinal cord compression.

Osteoarthritis (OA), a prevalent degenerative joint disease, significantly affects the well-being of afflicted individuals and compromises the standard functionality of human joints. The emerging biomarker, Cartilage acidic protein 1 (CRTAC1), intricately associates with OA initiation and serves as a prognostic indicator for the trajectory toward joint replacement. However, existing diagnostic methods for CRTAC1 are hampered by the limited abundance, thus restricting the precision and specificity.

Orbital walls are one of the most common sites of midface fractures and account for ~40% of traumatic injuries in this region. These fractures are often associated with changes in the anatomy of the orbital cavity and frequently affect the orbital inferior wall, infraorbital groove and canal, and medial orbital wall, which leads to changes in its pattern and volume as well. Generally, the forces required for brake superior and lateral walls are greater than those required for thin medial and inferior walls.
