We compared efficacy of conventional myelosuppressive chemotherapy with myelosan, hydrealitalir and interferon-alpha (Ifn-a) therapy in 52 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The latter treatment (Ifn-a was given in different doses) was conducted in 23 patients. Significant differences (p = 0.007) were found in medians of survival of patients on conventional myelosuppressive chemotherapy (40 months) and on Ifn-a therapy (61 months). Toxicity of treatment with Ifn-a (domestic reaferon, in particular) was mild. Thus, Ifn-a treatment was more effective than conventional myelosuppressive therapy against CML in a chronic phase.

Background: Linezolid is included in most of the regimens for treatment of rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis. The prior publications presented the safety profile and clinical effectiveness of linezolid.

Objectives: The research objectives of this study include: description of cumulative incidence rates of linezolid-induced adverse events, assessment of associations of those events with different variables, evaluation of the adverse event management and impacts of the unfavorable events on the effectiveness of treatment for rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis.

Background: Uterine clear cell carcinoma (UCCC) is a rare and aggressive subtype of endometrial cancer, often presenting at an advanced stage with poor prognosis. Treatment options for advanced or recurrent UCCC are currently limited, especially after platinum-based chemotherapy has failed.

Case Presentation: We present the case of a 49-year-old female diagnosed with stage IV uterine clear cell carcinoma.

Background And Objectives: Administration of intraventricular chemotherapy through Ommaya reservoir is indicated for certain forms of leptomeningeal disease. However, ventricular reservoirs carry a substantial risk of infection. The conventional approach to managing reservoir-associated infections involves removal of the reservoir and systemic antibiotic therapy, but this strategy necessitates additional procedures to remove and subsequently replace the device.

To investigate the safety and efficacy of maribavir for the treatment of CMV viremia and CMV disease refractory or intolerant to conventional antiviral drugs after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) . This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical characteristics and outcomes of CMV viremia and CMV disease refractory or intolerant to conventional antiviral drugs after allo-HSCT treated with maribavir at Hebei Yanda Lu Daopei Hospital from April 2024 to September 2024. A total of 25 patients received maribavir, including 21 haploidentical transplants, two sibling HLA-matched transplants, and 2 HLA-matched unrelated transplants.

Vesicular nanosystems are a cornerstone to the contemporary drug delivery paradigm owing to their ability to encapsulate a variety of drug molecules, which improves the overall pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of the cargo drug. These systems have proven potential in the delivery of hydrophobic chemotherapeutic "Doxorubicin" (DOX), which faces frequent challenge relating to its nonspecific interactions, dose-limiting toxicity (myelosuppression being the most common manifestation), and short half-life (distribution half-life of 5 min, terminal half-life of 20-48 h), which limit its overall clinical effectiveness. "Smart" nanomicelles with stimuli-responsive linkages take advantage of tumor microenvironment for deploying the cargo drug at the target site, which prevents nonspecific distribution and, hence, low toxicity.
