Binding of eIF4E to the cap structure (m(7)GpppN) plays a critical role in mRNA translation. To study the interaction between eIF4E and cap, and to identify small molecule inhibitors of their binding, we synthesized a fluorescent-labeled cap analogue and used it to develop a fluorescence-polarization assay. This preliminary communication describes the synthesis of a fluorescein labeled 7-methylguanosinemonophosphate, and its dose dependent binding to purified human eIF4E as demonstrated by the fluorescence polarization assay.

The synergy between nanomaterials as solid supports and supramolecular concepts has resulted in nanomaterials with hierarchical structure and enhanced functionality. Herein, we developed and investigated innovative supramolecular functionalities arising from the synergy between organic moieties and the preexisting nanoscale soft material backbones. Based on these complex molecular nano-architectures, a new nanorod carbohydrate polymer carrier was designed with bifunctional hairy nanocellulose (BHNC) to reveal dual-responsive advanced drug delivery (ADD).

Topic: Macular atrophy incidence in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) patients undergoing anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment.
Clinical Relevance: Macular atrophy is a significant event that may occur in eyes with neovascular AMD treated with anti-VEGF therapy.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis following PRISMA guidelines (PROSPERO, CRD42024474924).

Background: Age is the principal risk factor for neurodegeneration in both the retina and brain. The retina and brain share many biological properties; thus, insights into retinal aging and degeneration may shed light onto similar processes in the brain. Genetic makeup strongly influences susceptibility to age-related retinal disease.

Synthetic Notch (SynNotch) receptors function like natural Notch proteins and can be used to install customized sense-and-respond capabilities into mammalian cells. Here, we introduce an adaptor-based strategy for regulating SynNotch activity via fluorescein isomers and analogs. Using an optimized fluorescein-binding SynNotch receptor, we describe ways to chemically control SynNotch signaling, including an approach based on a bio-orthogonal chemical ligation and a spatially controllable strategy via the photo-patterned uncaging of an o-nitrobenzyl-caged fluorescein conjugate.

In this report the photophysical property of newly synthesized fluorescein based derivative 2-(5-((2,4-dichlorophenyl)diazenyl)-6-hydroxy-3-oxo-3H-xanthen-9-yl)benzoic acid has studied by spectroscopic and theoretical that is by Density Functional Theory technique. The structural and functional group of the synthesized molecule was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy technique, and from the result so far obtained has been confirmed that molecule has a stable structure and confirmed the presence the functional groups present in the sample. The optical properties of the molecule are studied using the spectroscopic technique and it has revealed the solute-solvent interaction behaviour of the molecule and it has been observed that the bathochromic shift was of about 5 nm, from the fluorescence measurement it has revealed that the emission has been observed at green region and from the power spectra it has been confirmed the same.
