Measuring the effectiveness of interventions aimed at restoring motor function will be critical in deciding which animal trials should be translated to human studies. While various methods of quantifying motor behavior exist, many of these rely on observation and interpretation. Kinematic analysis is an objective means of quantifying temporal relationships and coordination within and between limbs during motor performance. These relationships offer valuable information on the condition and organization of the underlying neural circuitry. Kinematic data can drive a number of powerful analyses. These analyses can help detect nuances in motor performance and answer questions about the effectiveness of interventions designed to restore motor function.

Introduction: Behaviour change interventions have the potential to improve sanitation and hygiene practices in urban settings. However, evidence on which behaviour change interventions have successfully improved sanitation and hygiene practices in urban settings is unclear.
Methods: We performed electronic searches across five databases and one grey literature database to identify relevant studies published between January 1, 1990 and November 20, 2023 in English.

Objective: Therapeutic interventions for epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) have increased greatly over the last decade but improvements outside of biomarker selected therapies have been limited. There remains a pressing need for more effective treatment options that can prolong survival and enhance the quality of life of patients with EOC. In contrast to the significant benefits of immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors (CPI) seen in many solid tumors, initial experience in EOC suggests limited efficacy of CPIs monotherapy.

Objective: We sought to determine the cost-effectiveness (CE) of lymph node dissection (LND) at the time of hysterectomy for endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN).
Methods: A decision analytic model was created to evaluate the strategies of routine full LND, sentinel lymph node dissection (SNLD), SNLD without advancing to full LND in the event of non-mapping, and full LND based on Mayo Criteria, versus no LND. Patients in the no LND group and those in the SLND group without advancement to full LND in the event of non-mapping who were found to have EC on final pathology and suspicious post-operative imaging underwent full LND.

How a single, naive T cell can give rise to diverse progenies of effector and memory cells is not completely understood. One way to achieve this is by asymmetric cell division (ACD), characterized by an unequal distribution of cellular cargo, resulting in divergent daughter cells already after the first division-one being more destined to an effector and the other more to a memory fate. Here, we established two methods to analyze the relative distribution of the older "mother" centrosome and the younger "daughter" centrosome during the first cell division of activated CD8 T cells.

This review documents the importance of postoperative interventions that accelerate the functional recovery of the thoracic surgical patient. Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathways aim to mitigate the harmful surgical stress response. Improvements to the entire patient pathway, by removing unnecessary care elements while introducing evidence-based interventions, have synergistic effects.
