In the molecule of the title 1,5-disubstituted tetrazole, C(13)H(17)N(5), the tetrazole and benzene rings are not coplanar, having a dihedral angle of 42.96 (5) degrees between them. The piperidine fragment adopts a chair conformation, and there is a non-classical intramolecular contact between the benzene H atom and the piperidine N atom. Intermolecular C-H...pi interactions involving the piperidine C-H groups and the benzene rings are responsible for the formation of two-dimensional networks, extending parallel to the ab plane. These networks are linked together into a three-dimensional polymeric structure via pi-pi stacking interactions between the tetrazole rings of two adjacent molecules.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are widespread contaminants that can accumulate in microorganisms, posing significant ecological risks. While previous studies primarily focused on PAH concentrations, the impacts of PAH self-clustering have been largely overlooked, which will lead to inaccurate assessments of their ecological risks. This study evaluates the toxic effects of four prevalent PAH clusters on microbes with an emphasis on comparing the cluster sizes.

The release of toxic chemical dyes from the industrial effluent poses huge challenges for the environmental engineers to treat it. Azo dyes encompass the huge part of textile discharges which are difficult to degrade due to their complex chemical aromatic structures and due to the presence of strong bonds (-N=N-). Thus, the removal of a carcinogenic azo dye (i.

The introduction of 4,5-dihydroazuleno[2,1,8-ija]azulene as a central core between two 1,4-dithiafulvene (DTF) units provides a novel class of extended tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) electron donors. Herein we present the synthesis of such compounds with the azulenoazulene further expanded by annulation to benzene, naphthalene, or thiophene rings. Moreover, unsymmetrical donor-acceptor chromophores with one DTF and one carbonyl at the central core are presented.

Flexible film in display requires multi-functional integration, such as stretchability, flexibility, abrasion resistance, transparency, and shape memory. In this paper, a reasonable design strategy of flexible polyacrylate (PA) film with high transparency, shape memory, excellent abrasion resistance and foldability is presented. The PA films are prepared by free radical polymerization of vinyl-terminated polyurethane (PU) prepolymer as a cross-linking agent and acrylate monomers in ultraviolet (UV) light.

Lithium-ion batteries are approaching their theoretical limits. To achieve higher energy density, the development of lithium metal batteries (LMBs) is essential. However, uncontrolled ion transport and unstable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer are key factors inducing lithium dendrite growth, hindering the development of LMBs.
