In allergology, clinical registries fill knowledge gaps of epidemiology, mechanisms of allergic diseases, and real-world treatment outcomes. Considering the continuous rise of allergic diseases worldwide, registries become increasingly important for the optimization and harmonization of patient care. Aim: The aim of this study was to make a laboratory assessment of pH influence on the kinetics of the release of nickel ions in artificial saliva.

Methods And Material: In this study, 15 basic orthodontic appliances are immersed in 15 polyethylene tubes each containing 40 ml of artificial saliva. Tubes were divided into three sub-groups of 5 tubes depending on the pH: pH 5, pH 7 and pH 8.

Background: Angioedema is a condition marked by sudden, intense swelling of the subcutaneous and submucosal tissues, typically associated with hypersensitivity reactions, genetic mutations, or reactions to medications. It can also result from contact with allergens such as nickel, leading to dermatitis.

Case Presentation: A 12-year-old girl presented at our Pediatric Immunology and Allergology service with recurrent labial angioedema for over a year, linked to the consumption of legumes and tomatoes, and following the use of a metal flute.

Purpose: Psoriasis is a complex, chronic inflammatory keratosis of unclear origin that is challenging to treat. In patients with psoriasis suspected of having metal allergies, the removal of oral metallic prostheses contributes to the alleviation of psoriasis symptoms. However, the relationship and mechanism of the metal removal effect and improvement in psoriasis symptoms in patients with metal allergies are unknown.
