In an ever-changing visual world, animals' survival depends on their ability to perceive and respond to rapidly changing motion cues. The primary visual cortex (V1) is at the forefront of this sensory processing, orchestrating neural responses to perturbations in visual flow. However, the underlying neural mechanisms that lead to distinct cortical responses to such perturbations remain enigmatic.

Objectives: During COVID-19 the re-opening of educational institutes was frequently debated, however with the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, The Aga Khan University (AKU) in Karachi, Pakistan opened its campus for medical and nursing students after more than 6 months of closure. To ensure gradual resumption of activities on-campus, a combination of interventions was diligently deployed to minimize student infection rates. Scarce literature exists on students' perceptions regarding decisions implemented by university leadership.

This generation of military physicians has never previously been challenged with continuing to provide top notch medical support to servicemembers in a variety of operational settings in the midst of a global pandemic. From initial school closures and online learning to gradual reopening with hybrid learning models, to full in-person learning, school nurse administrators provided guidance in collaboration with public health officials, based on evolving information. Infection control was at the forefront, while government and scientists partnered to quickly develop effective vaccines.
