In health, the liver is a metabolically flexible organ that plays a key role in regulating systemic lipid and glucose concentrations. There is a constant flux of fatty acids (FAs) to the liver from multiple sources, including adipose tissue, dietary, endogenously synthesized from non-lipid precursors, intrahepatic lipid droplets and recycling of triglyceride-rich remnants. Within the liver, FAs are used for triglyceride synthesis, which can be oxidized, stored or secreted in very low-density lipoproteins into the systemic circulation.

Due to much of medical training being inpatient centered, medical trainees generally do more pre-rounding on a per-patient basis than they do complete histories and physical exams (H&Ps). However, formal training often overlooks pre-rounding as a critical aspect of medical education and patient care, with at least 10 times more publications on H&Ps than on any other aspect of rounding over the past half-century. To address this critical gap in medical education, we introduce the "Lesss PAINFUL" pre-rounding mnemonic, emphasizing the importance of efficient pre-rounding for medical students or other trainees.

The Dysphagia Handicap Index (DHI) is commonly utilized for evaluating how dysphagia impacts the quality of life (QoL) of patients across physical, functional, and emotional dimensions. The primary aim of the research was to linguistically validate and culturally adapt the DHI to the Bangla version.
