Purpose: To assess and compare, through a retrospective cohort study, the relationships between frailty, comorbidity, multimorbidity, and levels of adherence to lipid-lowering drugs (LLDs), antihypertensives and antidepressants.
Methods: In a primary care database, we selected a cohort of patients aged 60 or older on December 31, 2022. The date of the first prescription of the aforementioned medications was the study index date.

Background: Youth sports coaches play a critical role in proper concussion recognition and management, reinforcing the need for coach concussion education. As of 2021, most states have statutory and policy measures mandating concussion education for coaches. In practice, these mandates have been enacted through state legislatures and their respective youth sport governing bodies.

The rise in demand for firearm licenses in Israel due to the ongoing 2023-2024 Israel-Gaza War, coupled with the easing of regulations for issuing weapons, is expected to lead to a significant increase in the incidence of firearms among civilians. This situation calls for a special awareness of civilian populations of the dangers posed to children by the high prevalence of firearms. We therefore present trends in firearm-related incidents resulting in unintentional mortality and morbidity of children ages 0-17 between the years 2008-2023 in Israel.

Ruth Brunyate Wiemer, MA, OTR was instrumental in implementing the changes mandated by the adoption of the 1965 Bylaws which effectively separated the national occupational therapy association into a business league (American Occupational Therapy Association) and a charitable research focused organization (American Occupational Therapy Foundation). Wiemer may not be as well- known as her friend and colleague Wilma L. West, yet they shared similar attributes; West is known as the "thinker", Wiemer was the "doer".
