The pentafluorosulfanyl (SF-) group has been the subject of a surge of interest in the past decade, but there is still little practicality associated with its synthesis and installation. Herein is reported the first continuous flow synthesis of pentafluorosulfanyl chloride (SFCl), the most common reagent for the synthesis of SF-substituted compounds. The synthesis is based on inexpensive and easy-to-handle reagents: sulfur powder (S), trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) and potassium fluoride (KF).

An inexpensive single-arm robot is widely utilized for recent laboratory automation solutions. The integration of a single-arm robot as a transfer system into a semi-automatic liquid dispenser without a transfer system can be realized as an inexpensive alternative to a fully automated liquid handling system. However, there has been no quantitative investigation of the positional accuracy of robot arms required to transfer microplates.

Perfusable hydrogels have garnered substantial attention in recent years for the fabrication of microphysiological systems. However, current methodologies to fabricate microchannels in hydrogel platforms involve sophisticated equipment and techniques, which hinder progress of the field. In this protocol, we present a cost-effective, simple, versatile and ultrafast method to create perfusable microchannels of complex shapes in photopolymerizable hydrogels.

In this study, a new methodology for designing and creating a custom-made template for maxillofacial surgery has been developed. The custom-made template can be used both for cutting and repositioning of the mandible arches for executing a BSSO (bilateral sagittal split osteotomy) treatment. The idea was developed in order to give the possibility of using a custom-made template with standard plates, thus reducing long times, high costs and low availability of custom-made plates; this represents the proof of novelty of the proposed template, based on a well-established methodology.

Soil parameters are crucial aspects in increasing agricultural production. Even though Bangladesh is heavily dependent on agriculture, little research has been done regarding its automation. And a vital aspect of agricultural automation is predicting soil parameters.
