Purpose: This meta-analysis aims to estimate the global prevalence of severe, moderate, overall malnutrition and moderating factors of malnutrition in colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors.

Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in Embase, CINAHL, Medline-OVID, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science from inception to February 8, 2024, without language, region, or publication date restrictions. A generalized linear mixed model and random-effects model were used to examine the pooled prevalence, and moderator analyses were implemented to investigate variations in the pooled prevalence.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States despite the availability of effective preventive screening. This project was designed as a community awareness initiative to increase CRC awareness, knowledge, and intent to discuss and complete CRC screening. This quasi-experimental study had a QI focus and used a convenience sample in a public setting assessing CRC awareness, knowledge, and intent to discuss and complete screening after participating in an inflatable colon tour.

: Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols aim to improve clinical outcomes, shorten hospital length of stay (LOS), and reduce costs through a multidisciplinary perioperative approach. Although introduced in colorectal surgery, they are less established in cardiac surgery, especially in combination with on-table extubation (OTE). This study evaluates the impact of a novel ERAS concept with OTE (RERACS) in elective aortic-valve-replacement and coronary bypass surgery.
