Component removal is a time-consuming yet necessary step during revision hip surgeries. Because of the diversity of the components and the methods used to secure them, an equal diversity of approaches and tools are necessary for component removal. Careful and detailed preoperative planning is mandatory, the mode of failure must be understood, and detailed imaging should be available to the surgeon. Understanding the basic principles and indications for each of the techniques would optimize outcome. We review the approaches, tools, and techniques for component removal in revision hip procedures in stepwise sequence.

This scoping review aims to understand the cell-based meat production process, including the regulations, potential hazards, and critical points of this production. This review includes studies on cultured meat production processes, health hazards, and regulatory guidelines, excluding those without hazard analysis, incomplete texts, or studies published before 2013. The search was performed in eight electronic databases (MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus, LILACS, and Google Scholar) using MeSH terms and adaptations for each database.

We have designed and produced 39 amino acid peptide mimics of the and human acetylcholine receptors' (AChRs) main immunogenic regions (MIRs). These conformationally sensitive regions consist of three non-contiguous segments of the AChR α-subunits and are the target of 50-70% of the anti-AChR autoantibodies (Abs) in human myasthenic serum and in the serum of rats with a model of that disease, experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis (EAMG), induced by immunizing the rats with the electric organ AChR. These MIR segments covalently joined together bind a significant fraction of the monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) raised in rats against electric organ AChR.

As the organism ages, there is a decline in effective energy supply, and this retards the ability to elaborate new proteins. The consequences of this are especially marked in the gradual decline in brain function. The senescence of cells and their constituent organelles is ultimately the cause of aging of the entire nervous system.

The viability of using fibers as reinforcement material for developing lightweight sustainable non-structural construction materials in compliance with the valorization of local by-products has been investigated in this work. This study aims to investigate the effect of the chemical treatment of fibers on the mechanical and hygric properties of bio-sourced clay-sand- fiber composite. This lightweight specimen has been produced from a mixture of 60% natural clay and 40% sand by mass, as a matrix, and reinforced with different amounts of Juncus fibers.

The cavitation water jet cleaning and coating removal technique represents an innovative sustainable method for cleaning and removing coatings, with the nozzle serving as a crucial component of this technology. Developing an artificially submerged nozzle with a reliable structure and excellent cavitation performance is essential for enhancing cavitation water jets' cleaning and coating removal efficacy in an atmosphere environment (non-submerged state). This study is based on the shear flow cavitation mechanism of an angular nozzle, the resonance principle of an organ pipe, and the jet pump principle.
