Long-term ECG recordings are of great value in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Information from programmed stimulation studies and intracardiac recordings has markedly improved the diagnostic abilities of the person examining the long-term ECG recording. This article discusses how knowledge from intracardiac electrophysiologic studies has resulted in much better recognition of the type and mechanisms of a supraventricular arrhythmia on the Holter record.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia disease with a higher incidence rate. The diagnosis of AF is time-consuming. Although many ECG classification models have been proposed to assist in AF detection, they are prone to misclassifying indistinguishable noise signals, and the context information of long-term signals is also ignored, which impacts the performance of AF detection.

Background: Lack of motivation and behavioral abnormalities are the hallmarks of postpartum depression (PPD). Severe uterine contractions during labor are pain triggers for psychiatric disorders, including PPD in women during the puerperium. Creating biomarkers to monitor PPD may help in its early detection and treatment.

The EDUCATE study investigated the acute impact of energy drink (ED) consumption on heart rate variability (HRV) in children and adolescents, with a focus on how these stimulant-rich beverages influence cardiac autonomic function. Given the popularity of EDs among young people, this study assessed the immediate cardiovascular response to ED intake. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial involved 26 healthy participants aged 10-18 years.

Purpose Of Review: This paper reviewed the current literature on incidence, clinical manifestations, and risk factors of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) cardiotoxicity.
Recent Findings: CAR-T therapy has emerged as a groundbreaking treatment for hematological malignancies since FDA approval in 2017. CAR-T therapy is however associated with a few side effects, among which cardiotoxicity is of significant concern.
Background And Aims: Bendopnea is a symptom found in patients with heart failure (HF) defined as shortness of breath when bending forward. The present study examined the correlation between bendopnea with other cardiac symptoms, echocardiographic findings, and cardiac function parameters.
Methods: This was a single-center prospective cross-sectional study of patients diagnosed with systolic HF.
