The use of low intensity pulsed ultrasound accelerates cortical and cancellous bone fracture healing. Seventeen patients with eighteen high-energy fractures of the long bones were treated with low intensity pulsed ultrasound supplementation to surgical skeletal stabilization and tissue flaps. Sixteen fractures were healed within 13-52 weeks after starting ultrasound supplementation despite severe soft-tissue injuries and varying degrees of tissue loss. This method may be useful in the combined treatment of high-energy limb injuries.

Complete talar extrusion is a rare injury that is typically caused by high-energy impact. Treatment for a completely extruded talus is limited and has variable outcomes and complications. Tibiocalcaneal arthrodesis is one of the best treatments for restoring stability and reducing pain in the affected limb.

This case report presents a three-year follow-up of a young male with bilateral hindfoot fractures due to a high-energy road traffic accident, resulting in a comminuted open calcaneal fracture on the left and an open fracture-dislocation of the right talus. Staged reconstruction was performed, including initial debridement, temporary cement spacers, and subsequent fixation with femoral head allografts (FHAs). The right foot underwent a tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) fusion, and the left foot received a double arthrodesis.

Damage to the upper trunk of the brachial plexus, often caused by high-energy trauma, leads to significant functional impairment of the upper limb. This injury primarily affects the C5 and C6 roots, resulting in paralysis of muscles critical for shoulder and elbow function. If spontaneous nerve regeneration does not occur within 3-6 months post-injury, surgical intervention, including nerve transfers, is recommended to restore function.

Introduction: Few studies have reported the treatment and rehabilitation of combined fractures of the femur, tibia, and ankle in the same lower limb.
Case Report: A 69-year-old man presented to our hospital with a fall injury due to high-energy trauma after falling from a 5 m ladder while painting and landing on both feet. Examination revealed right femoral supracondylar; left tibial plateau; right calcaneal; left ankle crush; first and third lumbar vertebrae burst; sacral; C7, Th1, and Th9 compression; and bilateral acetabular fractures.
