Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterised by persistent unexplained pain and fatigue. People with fibromyalgia report receiving little support to manage symptoms, difficult interactions with healthcare practitioners and stigma associated with this contested condition. In this article, we employ Dorothy E Smith's Sociology for People to undertake a systems-focused literature review from the standpoint of people with fibromyalgia, moving beyond individual subjectivities to map how problems are socially organised.

Background: Endurance athletes tend to accumulate large training volumes, the majority of which are performed at a low intensity and a smaller portion at moderate and high intensity. However, different training intensity distributions (TID) are employed to maximize physiological and performance adaptations.
Objective: The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and network meta-analysis of individual participant data to compare the effect of different TID models on maximal oxygen uptake (VO) and time-trial (TT) performance in endurance-trained athletes.

Background And Aims: There is a lack of research on the impact of acute stress on the interaction of affective and cognitive processes in online compulsive buying-shopping disorder (CBSD). Therefore, this project addressed stress response, cue reactivity, attentional bias, and implicit associations in individuals with online CBSD.
Methods: Women with CBSD (n = 63) and women with non-problematic online buying-shopping (n = 64) were randomly assigned to the Trier Social Stress Test or a non-stress condition.

Basal-like breast cancer (BLBC), overlapping with the subgroup of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and HER2 triple-negative breast cancer, has the worst prognosis and limited therapeutics. The XPO1 gene encodes nuclear export protein 1, a promising anticancer target which mediates nucleus-cytoplasm transport of nuclear export signal containing proteins such as tumor suppressor RB1 and some RNAs. Despite drugs targeting XPO1 are used in clinical, the regulation of XPO1 expression and functional mechanism is poorly understood, especially in BLBC.

Under certain pathological conditions, microglia can inflict damage to neurons and astrocytes. However, the precise mechanisms underlying how activated microglia induced astrocyte atrophy and loss remain enigmatic.
