Objective: To study the Pollination Characteristic of C. deserticola.

Method: Four pollination methods were used, cross pollination coming different plant, cross pollination in one plant, wind pollination and no-pollination.

Result: Cross pollinations coming different plant are fructiferous. The average fructication rate of cross pollination coming different plant is 94.1%; the average fructication rate of cross pollination in one plant is 52.2%; The seed qulitity of cross pollination coming different plant is better than the cross pollination in one plant.

Conclusion: Cross pollinations coming different plant have a high quantity and quality of seeds of C. deserticola.

Background: Chinese cabbage is a cross-pollinated crop with remarkable heterosis, and male-sterile line is an important mean to produce its hybrids. In this study, a male-sterile mutant msm7 was isolated from a Chinese cabbage DH line 'FT' by using EMS-mutagenesis.

Results: Compared with the wild-type 'FT', the anthers of mutant msm7 were completely aborted, accompanied by the defects in leaf and petal development.

Evaluating Self-Pollination Methods: Their Impact on Nut Set and Nutlet Abscission in Macadamia.

Plants (Basel)

December 2024

Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation, The University of Queensland, St. Lucia, QLD 4072, Australia.

Nut set is an important determinant of yield and plays a pivotal role in orchard profitability. The complex process of nut setting is governed by numerous factors, with pollination being a critical mechanism. Macadamia cultivars exhibit both self- and cross-pollination.

Generation and Assessment of Soybean ( (L.) Merr.) Hybrids for High-Efficiency -Mediated Transformation.

Life (Basel)

December 2024

Research Institute of Nyíregyháza, Institutes for Agricultural Research and Educational Farm (IAREF), University of Debrecen, P.O. Box 12, 4400 Nyíregyháza, Hungary.

The -mediated technique is widely employed for soybean transformation, but the efficiency of this method is still relatively modest, in which multiple factors are involved. Numerous chemical and physiological cues from host plants are needed for attraction and subsequent T-DNA integration into the plant genome. Susceptible genotypes may permit this attachment and integration, and the agronomically superior genotypes with susceptibility to would play an important role in increasing transformation efficiency.
