Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the biocompatibility of Ti-75(AlMoZrTi Alloy) dental implants.

Methods: Four 6.5 to 16 kg dogs were used, after mandibular cuspids and premolar extraction, 16 implants were placed and left for six or twelve months. All of the dental implants were made of Ti-75 (AlMoZrTi Alloy) and they were manufactured in two types-nonsubmerged and submerged threaded implants.

Results: The survival rate of the implants was 100% (submerged implants) and 91.7% (nonsubmerged implants). Histologically, all survival implants showed some degree of intimate bone to implant contact, but one of the nonsubmerged implants showed periimplantitis. No implants were observed to be mobile. The periotest values of the dental implants were near the periotest values of the nature teeth.

Conclusion: This study demonstrated Ti-75 is a biocompatible material and periotest is worthy of detection of osseointegration.

Purpose: The primary objective of this retrospective study was to evaluate the survival outcomes of immediately loaded acrylic resin complete arch fixed implant-supported prosthesis (CAFIP) fabricated from the denture conversion protocol. The secondary objective was to evaluate the early implant survival outcomes associated with these prostheses.

Material And Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted to study the clinical outcomes data of immediately loaded conversion prostheses and immediately loaded implants.

Calcium phosphates, notably monetite, are valued biomaterials for bone applications owing to their osteogenic properties and rapid uptake by bone cells. This study investigates the enhancement of these properties through Cobalt doping, which is known to induce hypoxia and promote bone cell differentiation. Heat treatments at 700°C, 900°C, and 1050°C are applied to both monetite and Cobalt-doped monetite, facilitating the development of purer, more crystalline phases with varied particle sizes and optimized cellular responses.

Purpose: The study assessed the clinical outcomes following treatment of peri-implant mucositis using Er:YAG laser or an ultrasonic device over six months. Patients' experience of pain, aesthetics, and Quality of life were further assessed.

Methods: One dental implant, per included patient, diagnosed with peri-implant mucositis underwent treatment with an Er:YAG laser (test) or an ultrasonic scaler (control) randomly.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the effect of photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy on implant stability and crestal bone loss placed in healed sites. The present systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted according to PRISMA (The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. Two investigators carried out the electronic search of Pubmed, Google Scholar, and Ebscohost for published literature from 2012 till March 2024.

The widely available options of different manufacturers in dental implant systems have complicated the selection criteria process for periodontists, necessitating careful consideration of various factors when selecting suitable solutions for individual patient needs. Optimal implant selection requires careful consideration of the patient-specific factors, implant design, and surgical technique. Understanding the biomechanical behavior of implant-tissue interactions is crucial for achieving successful and long-lasting implant therapy.
