The increased risk of cholangiocarcinoma in patients with congenital cystic disease of the biliary tree is well documented. The reason for the malignant transformation is taught to de related to chronic inflammation and bacterial exposure within bile ducts. Total excision of the choledochal cyst notably reduces the risk of cancer. Five to twenty percent of adult patients with unexcused cysts or treated with by pass will develop cholangiocarcinoma. We are presenting the case of a young female diagnosed with a choledochal cyst at age of four, treated with by pass procedure. Fourteen years later she presented with a severe angiocolitis, hemorrhage and malignant transformation within the cyst.

We present a case of an advanced squamous cell carcinoma encroaching on a patient's left internal mammary artery bypass graft. Tumor board consensus was to proceed with 2 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by resection. Intraoperatively, the left internal mammary artery bypass could not be safely dissected from the adjacent pleura, but frozen sections were negative for malignant transformation.

Germ cell tumors with somatic-type solid malignancy are mostly attributed to the malignant transformation of teratomas. Herein, we describe the case of a 41-year-old man with mediastinal yolk sac tumor who presented with adenocarcinoma in nodal metastases. Computed tomography revealed enlarged subcarinal lymph nodes and an anterior mediastinal tumor, which was diagnosed as a yolk sac tumor by percutaneous biopsy.

Objectives: To investigate the predictive value of myocardial strain for cardiotoxicity associated with fluorouracil-based chemotherapies in gastrointestinal cancer patients.
Methods: Patients with diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers, who were hospitalized for chemotherapy involving antimetabolic drugs, were eligible in this prospective study. Echocardiography was performed before and after each chemotherapy cycle during hospitalization until the completion of chemotherapy.

Glycosylation, the intricate process of adding carbohydrate motifs to proteins, lipids, and exosomes on the cell surface, is crucial for both physiological and pathological mechanisms. Alterations in glycans significantly affect cancer cell metastasis by mediating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The subtle changes in glycosylation during malignant transformations highlight the importance of analyzing cell and exosome surface glycosylation for prognostic and early treatment strategies in cancer.

Cervical cancer ranks as the fourth most common cancer among women globally, posing a significant mortality risk. Persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) is the primary instigator of cervical cancer development, often alongside co-infection with other viruses, precipitating various malignancies. This study aimed to explore recent biotechnological advances in understanding HPV infection dynamics, host interactions, and its role in oncogenesis.
