Background: Apolipoprotein E4 (ApoE4) is associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD), depression, and anxiety, which were reported to improve after the administration of metformin. However, sex influence on the effect of ApoE4 and metformin on cognition and mental health is poorly understood.
Methods: ApoE3-TR and apoE4-TR mice of both sexes were randomly assigned to the normal saline and metformin groups from 13 months to 18 months of age.

This effect can be attributed to the fact that PRGF contains fewer leukocyte-derived interleukins in comparison to platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Introduction Colorectal cancer (CRC) continues to pose a major public health challenge, ranking among the most common malignancies globally and being a leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Most CRCs originate from adenomatous polyps, underscoring the importance of detecting and removing these precancerous growths as a key preventive measure against CRC. In particular, large colonic polyps (≥10 mm) warrant special attention due to their increased risk of progressing to malignancy compared to smaller polyps.
