Objective: Lymphoma is a heterogenous group of malignant tumours with proliferation of lymphoid cells or their precursors. Lymphomas in the head and neck region are usually found in Waldeyer's ring. Intraoral lymphomas are rare and the clinical presentation and roentgenological appearance may resemble other and benign conditions, entailing a risk for diagnostic delay.

COVID-19 pneumonia produces a heterogeneous array of clinical, biochemical, and radiological findings. Over the last few months of global hurry to optimize a testing strategy, it has been suggested that bedside point-of-care lung ultrasound may have a diagnostic role. We present 3 patients with RT-PCR nasopharyngeal swab-confirmed COVID-19 pneumonia, who had an admission plain chest film reported to be normal by a consultant radiologist, but with significant sonographic abnormalities on bedside ultrasound performed within 24 hours of the chest radiograph.

In the article, it is mentioned the great importance of glicosaminglycans (GAG) in the matter of formation and existence of connective tissue, their greatest role in the metabolism of bone and cartilaginoid tissue, the considerable importance of preparation dona components (glucosamine, sulphate group) in biochemical processes that proceeds in cartilaginoid tissue - in the gialuroni acid and glicosaminglycans synthesis (the substances that the proteoglycans are composed of). The experience that the Department has in the application of polysulphate glicosaminglycan - preparation rumalon (Russia), during the conservative treatment of Pertes disease, is mentioned.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe present work studies stomach resection by Vitebski modification and suggests theoretically and tactically valid improvement of the anastomosis functions. The authors suggest that during the application of end-to-side anastomosis with transverse section of small intestine, the anatomic parameters of small intestine should be taken into consideration as well as the diameter of the anastomosis. To prove the above two groups of patients were examined in the remote period after operation: the first group of 25 patients were operated without strict consideration of anastomosis and small intestine diameter, while the second group of 40 patients were operated in accordance with the above approach.

Background: Bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) may be classified as cryptogenic (idiopathic) and secondary. There are no clear clinical and radiological features distinguishing between idiopathic and secondary BOOP.
Objectives: To analyze the etiologic factors, clinical and radiological features, diagnostic approach and response to therapy at onset and outcome in subjects with BOOP.
