Cooperative Anion-π Catalysis with Chiral Molecular Cages toward Enantioselective Desymmetrization of Anhydrides.

J Am Chem Soc

January 2025

Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, CAS Key Laboratory of Molecular Recognition and Function, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China.

Exploiting novel noncovalent interactions for catalysis design represents a fascinating direction. For the flexible and relatively weak anion-π interactions, manipulation of two or more π-acidic surfaces for cooperative activation is highly desirable. Here, we demonstrate the strategy of cooperative anion-π catalysis based on chiral molecular cages with V-shaped electron-deficient cavities for synergic binding and activation of dicarbonyl electrophiles toward highly enantioselective desymmetrization transformation.

Flexible disk ultramicroelectrode: Facile preparation and high-resolution scanning electrochemical microscopy imaging.

Anal Chim Acta

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Jilin Province Key Laboratory of Low Carbon Chemical Power, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun, 130022, Jilin, China; School of Applied Chemistry and Engineering, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, 230026, Anhui, China. Electronic address:

Background: Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) is a kind of scanning probe technology that enables the obtainment of surface morphology and electrochemical information by recording changes in Faraday current triggered by the movement of probe.

Results: In this work, flexible disk ultramicroelectrode (UME) with highly repeatable geometry are fabricated through a simple and universal strategy that involves vacuum pulling the glass capillaries inserted with platinum wire (gold wire, carbon fiber, etc.), followed by a rapidly heated sealing and polishing process.

Extraction and incorporation of cellulose microfibers from textile wastes into MXene-enhanced PVA-borax hydrogel for multifunctional wearable sensors.

Int J Biol Macromol

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of New Textile Materials and Advanced Processing Technologies, School of Textile Science and Engineering, Wuhan Textile University, Wuhan 430200, China. Electronic address:

Conductive hydrogel has drawn great concern in wearable sensors, human-machine interfaces, artificial intelligence (AI), health monitoring, et al. But it still remains challenge to develop hydrogel through facile and sustainable methods. In this work, a conductive, flexible, bendable, and self-healing hydrogel (PBCM) composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), borax, cellulose microfibers (CMFs), and MXene nanosheet was fabricated by a simple and efficient strategy.

A magnetic vortex (MV) is one of the fundamental and topologically nontrivial spin textures in condensed matter physics. Magnetic vortices are usually the ground states in geometrically restricted ferromagnets with zero magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Magnetic vortices have recently been proposed for use in a variety of spintronics applications due to their resistance to thermal perturbations, flexibility in changing core polarity, simple patterning procedure, and potential uses in magnetic data storage with substantial density, sensors for the magnetic field, devices for logic operations, and other related fields.
