Background: The match physical demands placed on soccer referees are intrinsically connected to their capacity to make accurate judgments, becoming the second most studied theme in associate soccer refereeing.
Objective: This study aims to review the external and internal load performed by soccer referees in high-level competitions, to identify changes in these indicators over different periods as the competition progresses, and to analyze the standards for dividing speed zones and heart rate zones.
Methods: Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and EBSCOhost were thoroughly searched.

In recent years, the field of wearable sensors has undergone significant evolution, emerging as a pivotal topic of research due to the capacity of such sensors to gather physiological data during various human activities. Transitioning from basic fitness trackers, these sensors are continuously being improved, with the ultimate objective to make compact, sophisticated, highly integrated, and adaptable multi-functional devices that seamlessly connect to clothing or the body, and continuously monitor bodily signals without impeding the wearer's comfort or well-being. Potentiometric sensors, leveraging a range of different solid contact materials, have emerged as a preferred choice for wearable chemical or biological sensors.

Breast cancer ranks as the second most prevalent cancer globally and is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women; therefore, early, automated, and precise detection is essential. Most AI-based techniques for breast cancer detection are complex and have high computational costs. Hence, to overcome this challenge, we have presented the innovative LightweightUNet hybrid deep learning (DL) classifier for the accurate classification of breast cancer.

The occipital sinus is often thought of as a redundant vestigial structure in adults. However, in rare cases, it can form the dominant route of intracerebral venous drainage, with a risk of significant surgical morbidity if unrecognised. We present an illustrative case describing this anatomical variant and tailoring of a midline suboccipital craniotomy to allow resection of a fourth ventricular epidermoid tumour with preservation of a dominant occipital sinus, and a review of the published literature.

A "barium chemobezoar" or "barolith" is a rare but serious cause of intestinal obstruction. We present two cases, a 70-year-old female patient and a 61-year-old male patient, both requiring urgent surgery for barolith-induced bowel obstruction. Diagnostic challenges were encountered in both cases, with imaging raising suspicion for barolith formation after prior barium use.
