Large multiprotein machines are central to many biological processes. However, stoichiometric determination of protein complex subunits in their native states presents a significant challenge. This study addresses the limitations of current tools in accuracy and precision by introducing concatemer-assisted stoichiometry analysis (CASA).

This study investigated the survival dynamics of BG24, a probiotic strain, within reconstituted skim milk (RSM) and yeast extract (YE) matrices during the spray-drying (SD) process, encompassing of inlet/outlet air temperatures. Notably, optimum SD parameters were found to be an inlet air temperature of 150°C and outlet air temperature of 83°C, that achieving high viability (92.23%), and reducing both moisture content (MC) (3.

Autophagosomes are formed by the enlargement and sealing of phagophores. This is accompanied by the recruitment and release of autophagy-related (Atg) proteins that function therein. Presently, the relationship among factors that act after the initial emergence of the phagophore is unclear.

Adaptor protein complex-3 (AP-3) mediates cargo sorting from endosomes to lysosomes and lysosome-related organelles. Recently, it was shown that AP-3 adopts a constitutively open conformation compared to the related AP-1 and AP-2 coat complexes, which are inactive until undergoing large conformational changes upon membrane recruitment. How AP-3 is regulated is therefore an open question.

The tubulin code hypothesis predicts that tubulin tails create programs for selective regulation of microtubule-binding proteins, including kinesin motors. However, the molecular mechanisms that determine selective regulation and their relevance in cells are poorly understood. We report selective regulation of budding yeast kinesin-5 motors by the β-tubulin tail.
